Braathe Enterprises Virtual Internship Program
Braathe Enterprises Virtual Internship Program offers spring, summer and fall internships for college students who want experience working on projects in the areas of human resources, finance, marketing, web design, e-commerce, and project management. The virtual program offers all the challenges of an internship without going into an office.
Summer internships are three months, and other internships are five months. Interns work on specific projects with deadlines but have the flexibility of making their own schedule. Meetings with professors and other discussions are all completed via Skype, e-mail, and conference calls. Although the internships are not paid, students will receive valuable experience in their field of study and an opportunity to use their skills outside the classroom.
Interns will work on projects for a variety of companies that range in size from small startups to larger existing companies. At the end of the internship, interns will receive a letter of recommendation.
Braathe Enterprises, a consulting firm that works with small and midsized businesses, began the program in 1997 as a way to connect students who want a different learning experience with startups, entrepreneurs and small businesses around the globe who need help completing projects. The internship program is managed by Robert Braathe, consultant and professor of business.
