Aetna Internships are offered to college students currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program. Internships are available in finance, customer service, actuarial, human resources, information technology, legal, marketing, sales and much more.

Applicants must have a grade point average of 3.0 or above in order to apply. Internships are 10-12 weeks in duration and are generally located at corporate headquarters in Hartford, Connecticut. Recruiting for interns begins every September and continues throughout the school year until all positions have been filled.


Internships run from May to August. Interns will receive hands-on experience in their field of study. They will be given problem-solving projects and also attend mentoring programs and networking events as well as participate in community service events.

Aetna is a Fortune 100 company which sells traditional and consumer health care insurance plans and related services, such as medical, pharmaceutical, dental, behavioral health, long-term care, and disability plans.
