League of United Latin American Citizens Internships are open to college students who want to work for a non-profit organization to advance the rights of Latino Americans. Summer internships are offered, as well as internships in the fall, winter, and spring. Internships are available across many disciplines. Programs offering internships include youth programs, education programs, policy and legislation, health programs, communications, special events, resource development, immigration reform, LGBT advocacy, community mobilization, civic engagement, and federal relations. Summer internships give college students real-world experience within a global non-profit organization.

The IGNITE Intern Program

The IGNITE Intern Program is open to college freshmen through PhD students. Both technical and non-technical summer internships are available. Applicants may choose software engineering internships in security research, systems testing, software security, and software engineering. Also available are consulting internships, and internships in hardware, customer support, and business operations, as well as non-technical internships in marketing and human resources.

Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden Internships

Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden Internships are open to undergraduate and graduate college students. Applicants should have 15 semester hours of art history, arts management, or equivalent academic preparation Candidates for summer internships must have a grade point average of 3.25 for undergraduates and 3.5 for graduate students. They do not have to major in art history. Internships are offered in the following departments: Arts and Programs, Exhibition and Design, Collection Management (includes photography and conservation), and External Affairs (communications, media relations, web design).

Prince William County Internships

Prince William County Internships are available to students who are at least 18 years of age and juniors or seniors in college. Applicants must be in good academic standing and of good moral character. Candidates may obtain credit hours for this internship as it is an unpaid summer internship. To apply, students must submit a completed application, cover letter, grade transcript, and a letter of recommendation from a college faculty member or Department Chair. Any student who applies cannot be convicted of any felony or misdemeanor of any serious nature.

Convergence Internship Program

Convergence Internship Program offers full- and part-time internships for undergraduates, graduate students, and recent graduates who are interested in gaining practical experience in consensus building and public policy. Internships are available in the Fall, Spring, and Summer. Summer internships and other internships last 3 months. Candidates must have a GPA of 3.5 or higher in order to be considered. Each internship focuses on special projects, such as Healthcare Financing Reform, Economic Mobility and Poverty, Development and Communications, Education, Incarceration, and Building a Better Budget.

United States Government Internships

United States Government Internships offer paid, summer internships to students who are at least 16 years old. Internships are available to high school students, and students enrolled in an accredited college or university. All candidates must be accepted for enrollment OR enrolled in a degree program with an accredited educational institution. Summer internships are in Washington, D.C. and are temporary 12-week summer internship positions with an intermittent work schedule. Many positions include pay.

Global Ties U.S. Internships

Global Ties U.S. Internships are offered to rising undergraduate juniors through graduate level students interested in working within the non-profit industry. Summer internships are available, as well as internships in the Spring and Fall. Students must be able to work for one academic semester. Internships are unpaid, volunteer positions; however, students may arrange to receive academic credit for their internship. Interns who complete their semester internship will receive a stipend to help defray internship-related expenses, including transportation costs to and from the Global Ties U.S. office.
