Internships are available in the fields of engineering, business, finance, earth science, information technology, human resources, supply chain, health environment and safety, government and public affairs. Summer internships are 3-4 months, and other internships can last 6 months. During this time, students will work with a team of experienced professionals at Chevron on real-time projects that the company actually uses. They will have an opportunity to take their classroom skills into a real work environment where they will be used on the job. A drilling engineer student will work on an actual oil rig site, and an internship in earth science gives students the experience of analyzing real geological data.

Internships are also available at 10 NBC television stations in eight states. Deloitte Summer Internship Program offers a number of summer internships for accounting students who are juniors or seniors in college. About 70 undergraduate students are hired each summer. The internships are for 12 weeks during the summer. Students have the opportunity to work all 12 weeks in one department or six weeks each in two different departments. Departments include audit, tax, consulting, corporate finance, internal audit and others. The program runs from June to August.

The internships are located at Abercrombie & Fitch headquarters in New Albany, Ohio, and provide design students interactive, hands-on sessions either in classrooms or on the job. Target Internship Program

Opportunities are available in the areas of pharmacy, distribution, finance and accounting, business, marketing, product design and technology. Students work for a period of ten weeks during the summer at Target headquarters in Minneapolis, Minnesota or Ontario, Canada, at distribution centers located in 22 states, or other locations around the country. Internships are offered to current college students, pharmacy students and recent college graduates. Pharmacy students must have completed at least one year of pharmacy school. The DC Water Internship Program

The District of Columbia Water and Sewer Authority (DC Water; formerly DC WASA) Internship Program is for graduate and undergraduate students who will be exposed to a variety of career opportunities that are designed to professionally prepare and qualify them to eventually enter the work force. The internship program has two components: summer and year-round. The StoryCorps Internship Program
