The Metro Internship Program offers paid internship opportunities for undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate students. Internships give college students work experience in the areas of administration, architectural design, CAD, engineering, government relations, graphic design, human resources, marketing research, media relations, training, and urban planning. Eligible students must be enrolled in an accredited college or university in the U.S. Undergraduate students applying must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or above, and 3.0 or above for graduate students. All students must be either U.S. citizens or have permission to work in the U.S.

LinkedIn is a social networking website for people in professional occupations who are looking for internships and jobs. The professional networking site was founded in 2002 and is a great source for students to find internships. Students looking for internships may search through LinkedIn's Student Jobs Portal for students jobs and internships. Students are LinkedIn's fastest growing segment and hundreds of jobs are posted daily. The site currently lists over 700 entry-level jobs and internships for CyberCoders, an industrial equipment manufacturer in the U.S. and Europe, over 600 entry-level jobs and internships at Deloitte, and almost 800 at IBM.

Taiwan-America Student Conference (TASC)

Taiwan-America Student Conference (TASC) is a two and a half week long professional conference held in Taiwan and formally conducted in English. Fifteen top university students from Taiwan and fifteen from America will be chosen to participate in the conference. The conference includes:  1) Roundtable discussions throughout the conference designed to hone delegates’ understanding of a single contemporary issue (8 delegates total: 4 from each country). 2) Academic forums featuring international leaders such as Dr. Stanton, the former director of the American de-facto Embassy in Taiwan, and Anting Liu, the founder of Teach for Taiwan.

NASA Student Airborne Research Program

NASA Student Airborne Research Program gives junior and senior undergraduate college students hands-on research experience in Earth science. The eight-week program runs from June to August and includes a stipend, full travel and living expenses and a food allowance. Students selected for the program will participate in a scientific project that includes everything from planning to presentation. They will work in teams and study surface, atmospheric, and oceanographic processes. They will collect data at field sites and learn how to operate instruments on a DC-8 research aircraft. The research experience will increase students' knowledge on how to sample and measure atmospheric gases and image land and water surfaces in multiple spectral bands. They will learn from faculty and staff across several universities as well as experts from NASA centers and from flight operations and engineering personnel at NASA.

This is an unpaid internship working for the U.S. Department of Education in Washington, D.C. This internship gives students an opportunity to learn about the White House Initiative on Educational Excellence for African Americans. The White House Internship Program

The White House Internship Program provides internship opportunities for young students 18 years of age or older across the U.S. who are interested in careers in public service. Students must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate two-year or four-year college or enrolled in graduate school. It is also open to veterans who have graduated from high school and served in active duty two years prior to applying. The internship offers Spring, Summer and Fall internships, each having its own deadline for submitting applications. The duration of the internship is approximately 12 weeks long, depending on the time of year, and students work full-time Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. No housing is included, and the internship is non-paid.
