Government Internships

Many times, a student will want an internship that is not in the fast-paced and competitive world of corporate America. A government internship is perfect for this because government agencies don't have competitors, usually don't have tight deadlines, and therefore are a lot less stressful.

Despite this, government internships can be just as beneficial to students to gain experience and acquire new skills. Many federal government agencies such as FDIC, FBI, CIA, NASA, and even the White House will recruit thousands of interns every year. Most of these internships are paid opportunities, and many will hire you full-time when you graduate. Even local government agencies, such as a city, state or county offer valuable opportunities to students that often turn into high-paying jobs. Even better, government agencies usually offer great benefits to interns and full-time employees, and rarely have to downsize their staff.
