Freddie Mac Internships are offered to college students who are pursuing a Bachelor's degree. Applicants must have a GPA of 3.0 or above and a strong interest in working within the finance and capital markets industry.

Internship hours range from 15 to 20 hours per week. Applications are open during the Winter (January and February) and late Summer (August and September). Strong candidates will major in the following disciplines: Business, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Analytics, and other related fields.

Internship positions are available in finance and accounting, auditing, information technology, investments, mortgage underwriting, marketing, and more. Applicants must have strong attention to detail and organizational skills, excellent communication skills and an ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.



The Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation (FHLMC), known as Freddie Mac, is a public government-sponsored enterprise headquartered in Fairfax County, Virginia. The corporation was created in 1975 to expand the secondary market for mortgages in the US.
