The National Agricultural Library Internships

The National Agricultural Library Internships are available to high school students, undergraduate and graduate college students. Many different opportunities are available that will match the interests or career goals of students. Applicants must be at least 16 years old to apply.

Students interested in agriculture will find summer internships available in food and nutrition, food safety, water quality, animal welfare, rural community development, alternative farming systems, and more. Other summer internships are offered in information technology, database management, web content development, and more.

Internships are unpaid and generally last one academic term or semester. College students may arrange to earn credit hours through their academic institution. To apply, candidates may complete an online application and submit a resume, cover letter, and grade transcripts.

The National Agricultural Library is part of the U.S. Department of Agriculture and one of four national libraries of the United States. The library is home to one of the world's largest collections devoted to agriculture and its related sciences.

The location is usually in MARYLAND.
