D. R. Horton Internship Program is open to students pursuing an undergraduate or Master’s degree as full-time students at an accredited college or university. Eligible students must be sophomores, juniors or seniors in order to apply. Internships are paid.

Internships are offered in the field of Construction Science, Construction Engineering, Construction Management, Human Resource Management, Finance, and Accounting. Applicants must have an excellent academic record, strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to interact with management at different levels. Bilingual skills are a plus.

Students may apply to up to 3 internships. Interns receive leadership training and hands-on experience in the residential construction industry. The internship program is designed to expose students to the residential home building process and help them grow personally and professionally. Students also have the possibility of being offered a full-time position after graduation.

D. R. Horton is the largest home construction company in the United States. The Fortune 500 company was founded in 1978 and is headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas. D. R. Horton operates three separately branded divisions: Emerald Homes, Express Homes, and Freedom Homes.
