D. R. Horton Internship Program is open to students pursuing an undergraduate or Master’s degree as full-time students at an accredited college or university. Eligible students must be sophomores, juniors or seniors in order to apply. Internships are paid. Internships are offered in the field of Construction Science, Construction Engineering, Construction Management, Human Resource Management, Finance, and Accounting. Applicants must have an excellent academic record, strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to interact with management at different levels. Bilingual skills are a plus.

Edison International Internships are available to students who are actively pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree. Applicants must have at least one more semester or quarter remaining after completing their internship and returning to school. All internships are paid. Candidates must have a GPA of 3.0 or above. Internships are offered in the areas of accounting, finance, business management, engineering, marketing, communications, public relations, journalism, information technology, and computer science. Interns are given important work and are involved in many company projects. Their ideas and contributions are encouraged and valued.

Fidelity Investments Internships are offered to both undergraduate and graduate students at multiple U.S. locations. While most internships and co-ops are offered in the summer, year-round opportunities may also be available. Internships are paid and available in the areas of accounting and finance, auditing, software engineering, software development, sales, and technology. Interns are given projects that are real and important to the company. Hands-on experience and working with professionals give interns professional and interpersonal skills that will help them become successful in their careers.

Precision Castparts Corporation Internships are offered throughout the year to current college students who are pursuing a Bachelor's degree. Internships are available across several disciplines. Internships are offered in the areas of accounting and finance, engineering, information systems, and manufacturing. Ideal candidates are goal-oriented, team-driven, and have a desire to work in a fast-paced, growing organization.

Farmers Insurance Internships are open to undergraduates who have completed their sophomore or junior year and graduate students. These paid internships offer full-time experiential work opportunities for students majoring in any business discipline, math or information systems. Candidates must have a GPA of 3.0 or above. Internships are offered in the Spring and Summer. Paid internships can lead to opportunities to be hired for full-time positions after completing the internship program.

Murphy USA Summer Senior Analyst Program is open to MBA students who are interested in careers within the oil and gas industry. Internships occur during the summer prior to the second year of study. Candidates ideally should have 2-3 years of prior work experience, a desire for a career in retail, and a passion to solve analytical problems and strategic challenges in a corporate environment. Students do not need to major in a specific field in order to apply.

CenterPoint Energy Internships are offered to undergraduate college students in the area of engineering. Students majoring in electrical, civil, mechanical, industrial and computer engineering may apply. Candidates must be currently enrolled as a full-time (12 hours) student at an accredited university or college. A GPA of 3.0 or above is required. Juniors and seniors are preferred.

Southern Company Internships (Paid) offers spring and summer internships for college students across many disciplines. These are paid internships which also include a housing stipend for students moving more than 50 miles from their place of residence. Candidates must have a GPA of 3.0 or above. Students must be enrolled in an accredited college or university, or can also be a recent graduate. Internship hours are flexible, with interns working 20-40 hours per week. Positions are offered in the areas of accounting, finance, marketing, engineering, design, graphic design, and more.

Plains All American Pipeline LP Internships are offered to college students interested in a career in the oil and gas industry. Internship positions are offered in many different disciplines. Internships are available in the areas of accounting, finance, legal, human resources, business development, engineering, and many others. Internships last 10-12 weeks and are offered during the summer from May - August. Candidates must be sophomores, juniors or seniors working towards a Bachelor's degree at an accredited college or university.

Masco Corporation Internships are offered to both undergraduate and graduate students who are enrolled in an accredited college or university, pursuing a bachelor’s or advanced degree. Internships are available in the areas of accounting and finance. Internships are available during the summer or between semesters. Applicants must have completed up to two years of introductory coursework in accounting or finance, have excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational and time management skills, and a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. A GPA of 3.0 is required.

Williams Internships are offered to college students in engineering, information management and business. Internships are paid and are available to eligible college students during the summer. Interns work throughout the summer on challenging projects. They have the opportunity to interface with and learn from Williams' leaders and participate in activities with other interns. All interns receive strong training and development throughout their internship that will increase their knowledge and learning and help them succeed in a high-performing environment.

It can be because they want to earn more money to help pay college tuition, they want to 'test drive' a career they are interested in pursuing to see if it is right for them, or they may be in a field that values much experience. Whatever the reason, there are many work opportunities available, including internships, externships, co-ops, and fellowships. It can be real confusing trying to decide which one is right for you.
