Bank of America Student Leaders Program provides paid summer internships with local nonprofits. The internship program gives students an opportunity to discover their talents and develop their leadership skills. The program is open to high school juniors and seniors.

The program is an 8-week paid internship at a local nonprofit or charitable organization that is selected by Bank of America. Students work 35 hours a week and receive pay, plus on-the-job-training that concludes with an all-expense-paid week-long Student Leaders Summit in Washington, DC in July. The program is offered every year for eligible high school students.

Applicants must be in good academic standing and live in one of many state counties throughout the U.S. that are participating in the program. Currently, 27 states are participating in the program. Eligible students may apply online by completing an application and returning it along with a letter of recommendation from a teacher, guidance counselor, or school administrator.

Bank of America has been offering the program for 10 years as a way of helping to develop the next generation of leaders. Bank of America is a multinational banking and financial services corporation headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina. It is the second largest bank holding company in the United States by assets and was listed by Forbes in 2010 as the third biggest company in the world.
