Hertz Internship Programs offer college students an opportunity to develop professional skills that will prepare them for rewarding careers. Internships are available in many disciplines. Internships are offered in accounting and finance, marketing, human resources, information technology, sales and more. Internships are full-time positions during the summer; part-time internship positions may be available in the fall. Ideal candidates for internship positions must be enrolled in an undergraduate college program as full-time students at an accredited college or university. They must major in the field in which the internship is offered.

The Thurgood Marshall Summer Law Internship Program

The Thurgood Marshall Summer Law Internship Program is for high-achieving inner-city high school students who are interested in exploring careers in the law. This intensive internship program places students with legal employers for the summer. Students are chosen based on academic performance, extracurricular activities, and a strong interest in the law. Their internship will include assignments such as assisting paralegals, filing, data entry, assisting library and other law office personnel. All chosen interns will be required to participate in pre-employment training.

Dillards Intern Program (Paid)

Dillard’s Intern Program is a paid opportunity for college students to work and learn and get paid at the same time. Summer internships are available to students interested in careers within an upscale retail industry. Interns will work directly with senior management and sales managers to learn the operational and sales sides of the business. Their training will include leadership, financial, sales, advertising, communications, operations and more. Internships are 8 weeks in duration during the summer.

RockTenn Internships

Internships at RockTenn give students an opportunity to gain hands-on experience, learn from professionals within their chosen industry, and develop skills that will help them in their career. Internships are offered to students who are majoring in accounting, industrial or graphic design, finance, supply chain and logistics, and more. Interns are assigned real projects that challenge their ability to create ways for the company to save money or increase efficiency. The summer-long internships will add to students' classroom knowledge and give them valuable experience outside the classroom.

Newmont Mining Internships are available to college sophomores, juniors and seniors in a wide area of disciplines. Paid internships are available in technical as well as business areas. Students interested in technical fields can apply for internships in Chemistry, Earth Sciences, Environmental Science, Geological Engineering, Geology, Geophysics, Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering and Mine Engineering. Business students will find internships in Accounting, Communications, Economics, Finance, Human Resources and Supply Chain.

Gilead Internships

Gilead paid internships are offered to MBA college students in the areas of Commercial Marketing, Finance and Corporate Development. Applicants must be full-time students enrolled in a MBA program who will graduate in the year following the internship. In addition, paid internships are available in Medicinal Chemistry, Formulation, Biology and Metabolism and Protein Chemistry for college students who are in their junior year and have a B grade level or above. Students must have completed at least one lab course.

Sempra Energy Accounting and Finance Internship

Sempra Energy Accounting and Finance Internship is offered to undergraduate and graduate college students who are majoring in accounting or finance. The 12-week paid internship is designed to transition potential candidates into a post-graduation, three-year rotation program as a full-time employee. Candidates interested in working within the energy industry are encouraged to apply. Applicants must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher and be currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting, finance or economics.

Air Products and Chemicals Internships

Interns receive hands-on training in their field and an opportunity to use their classroom skills in a real workplace setting. Interns are hired for the summer and are mentored by experienced professionals and work in an office, lab or plant.

AGCO Corporation Internships

AGCO Corporation Internships are offered during the summer to college students in a wide range of areas. Students will find opportunities in marketing, communications, sales, finance and accounting, human resources, engineering and more. Internships run from May through August and include hands-on experience for interns in many departments related to their discipline. They will receive mentoring, have opportunities to build their skills in a real work setting, and learn through exposure with Senior leadership at AGCO.

State Street Corporation Internships

State Street Corporation Internships are available to college students who are interested in a career within the financial services industry. High school, undergraduate and graduate students are invited to attend information and interview sessions, networking nights, and visit careers fairs and conferences to learn about internship and job opportunities. Applicants may apply for an internship position online to be considered for an internship position. Internships are available in several locations. Applicants are encouraged to consider financial careers at the company following graduation.

R.R. Donnelley & Sons Internships

R.R. Donnelley & Sons Internships offer summer work-experience opportunities to college students in a wide area of disciplines. Students will find opportunities in marketing, information technology, accounting, finance, software development and more. Internships are 10 weeks during the summer, from June to August. Most internship positions require that the applicant have 2-3 years of coursework completed prior to the start of the internship. Coursework must directly apply to the internship position for which the student is applying.

Unum Summer Internships

Unum Summer Internships are available to both undergraduate and graduate students pursuing careers in the financial services industry. Applicants must have completed at least two years of college work in order to apply. Candidates must be currently enrolled full-time in a four-year college or university and have a GPA of 3.3 or above. Proficiency in MS Word and Excel software applications is required, along with strong analytical skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and demonstrated leadership qualities.

Xcel Energy Internships

Xcel Energy Internships are available for undergraduate and graduate students. These internships are full-time, paid positions in a variety of disciplines to meet the needs of most students. Internships are offered in the areas of business, supply chain, engineering, information technology and more. Positions are offered during the summer and require interns to work 35-40 hours per week; students are paid for their work. In addition, students selected for an internship will receive on-the-job-training and exposure to Xcel Energy’s business.
