APS Internships

APS Internships and JobsAPS Internships offer college students an excellent paid summer work experience opportunity in the areas of engineering, information technology, business, and the trades. The 10-week internships are in either Arizona or New Mexico.

Students must have excellent academic credentials and a desire to learn from more experienced professionals. Engineering students studying civil, chemical, electrical, industrial, mechanical or nuclear engineering as well as construction management are eligible to apply. Their job will include working at a power plant or at the main headquarters for APS in Arizona.

Business students can include those majoring in accounting, finance, economics, marketing, communications or supply chain management. Information technology students interested in an internship may include computer science, management information systems or other specialized computer programs. Trades and crafts students are also eligible, including HVAC, welding, auto mechanics, machining, line workers, instrumentation and controls and other related areas.

Students will work full-time during the summer on projects that are not only important to the company but will also provide a deep level of hands-on experience for students in their field of study. In addition to pay, some students may also qualify for housing assistance.

APS is the largest electric company in Arizona, providing electric service for more than 1.1 million customers in the state, both residential and retail. They are also committed to the future with an eye on long-term renewable energy sources.
