Altria Group Summer Internship Program offers college students paid work assignments with any one of several companies. Internships are available in accounting, business, finance, engineering, marketing, management and information technology.

Applicants must be enrolled full-time in a four-year college or university pursuing a degree and have a grade point average of 3.0 or above. Internships are 12 weeks in duration. Interns work 40 hours a week throughout their internship. Students may apply for an internship during their sophomore or junior year of college.


Interns are assigned challenging projects that allow them to develop their skills and will also attend workshops that teach career marketing strategies and presentation skills.

Altria Group, Inc. (previously named Philip Morris Companies Inc.) is based in Henrico County, Virginia, and is the parent company of Philip Morris USA, John Middleton, Inc., U.S. Smokeless Tobacco Company, Inc., Philip Morris Capital Corporation, and Chateau Ste. Michelle Wine Estates.
