Union Pacific Internships are open to college undergraduate and graduate students who are interested in a career with the railroad. Internships are offered in accounting, finance, marketing and sales, information technology, engineering, distribution and supply.

Interns get hands-on work experience and support from experienced professionals. They will have an opportunity to learn the railroad business, work on challenging, real-world projects, and network with company personnel, other interns and company employees.


Housing and transportation is provided for students who require it. Housing is located within walking distance to restaurants, theaters, outdoor events and shopping. Internship are available during the summer as well as year-round. Summer interns begin in May or June and work full-time through the beginning of August. Interns who choose to work year-round will work full-time during the summer and part-time during the college semesters.

Union Pacific Railroad began in 1862 and is headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska. The Union Pacific Railroad network is the largest in the United States.
