Corporation for National and Community Service Internships offer summer work experiences for college students and others. Internships are available in the areas of external affairs, government relations, research and evaluation, and more.

The internships are unpaid and for experience only. Both full-time and part-time internships are offered. Internship duties may range from preparing and delivering letters and reports, maintaining spreadsheets, producing briefing books and materials, and other research, administrative and communication tasks. Candidates must have strong verbal and written communication skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.


Graduate school candidates pursuing either a Masters or Ph.D. degree may be eligible for paid internships which may last up to one year. Students interested in an internship within a government agency should search and apply for internships online.

The Corporation for National and Community Service is a federal agency that manages the Senior Corps, AmeriCorps, and the Social Innovation Fund. The agency was established in 1993 and is located in Washington, D.C.
