Consumer Financial Protection Bureau Summer Internship (Pathways Program)

Consumer Financial Protection Bureau Summer Internship and Jobs
Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) Summer Internship (Pathways Program) is offered every summer to college students interested in working within a government agency. Positions are available across several disciplines.

Internships are offered in operations areas such as administration, finance, human resources, technology, consumer response and minority and women inclusion. Other positions are offered in communications, consumer education and legal. Qualifications may vary with positions. Legal internships are generally available to second year law students.

CFPB internships offer a twelve week summer internship program for students with high academics and a strong desire to assist in a variety of operational and mission oriented projects. Interns receive on-the-job training and mentoring by experienced professionals. Students will be matched to internships according to their interest, knowledge and academic background.

The CFPB was established in 2010 as a result of The Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act. The Director is appointed by the President of the United States. The agency's role is to protect Americans purchasing consumer financial products and services such as home mortgages and credit cards.
