The Metro Internship Program (California)

The Metro Internship Program and Jobs
The Metro Internship Program offers paid internship opportunities for undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate students. Internships give college students work experience in the areas of administration, architectural design, CAD, engineering, government relations, graphic design, human resources, marketing research, media relations, training, and urban planning.

Eligible students must be enrolled in an accredited college or university in the U.S. Undergraduate students applying must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or above, and 3.0 or above for graduate students. All students must be either U.S. citizens or have permission to work in the U.S.

Metro internships are anywhere from six months to two years in length. Internships can be extended twice a year in June and December. Interns receive a real-world work experience from one of the nation's largest public transportation agencies.

The internships are sponsored by the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro), the public transportation agency for the County of Los Angeles. The agency is the primary transit provider for the City of Los Angeles.

The location is usually in CALIFORNIA.
