Pharmacy students may choose the Pharmacy Corporate Internship Program at Walgreens headquarters in Deerfield, Illinois. A Community Pharmacist Internship can take students to various communities around the nation where they can learn more about prescription medications and increase their knowledge about pharmacy laws and ethics.


Other opportunities are also available in retail through the Community Management Internship Program, the Operations Internship for students interested in supply chain, or a Human Resources Internship for students who want to be part of Walgreens employee relations team. All internships provide a rich educational experience for students in many different disciplines.

Walgreens offers not just prescription drugs but vaccinations, specialty pharmaceuticals, free health screenings and wellness services in a retail environment. The store began in 1901 by Charles R. Walgreen Sr. and has been serving the health and wellness needs of Americans around the world for over 100 years.
