Summer Internship Program In Biomedical Research (SIP) is available to college students interested in a paid summer work opportunity at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). This is an exceptional opportunity for students to spend eight weeks with some of the world's leading scientists. The 8-week program takes place at several NIH laboratories located in five different states. The program includes workshops and lectures, plus exposure to the field of biomedical research. Eligible students must be enrolled at least half-time in high school or a U.S. accredited college or university. Undergraduate, graduate, or professional students are welcome to apply.

The internships are paid and provide students with an opportunity to explore careers within a federal agency. ICE Internships are offered as part of the Pathways Programs for students and recent graduates. This program was established in 2010 by President Obama to encourage the hiring of students and recent college graduates into federal positions. The program allows students to continue their studies while gaining valuable experience in a federal work environment.

The paid internship offers students a work experience that will provide a preview into an accounting career with the IRS. The internship is with the IRS Large Business and International Division and is offered during the summer. Qualifying students must have a grade point average of 3.0 or above and be able to work 40 hours a week. The work consists of assisting with tax accounting functions for corporations who have assets greater than $10 million.

It is a comprehensive guide for students from high school to postgraduate who are looking for work opportunities. The guide includes work opportunities in every branch of the federal government, including executive, judicial and legislative. In addition, resources on opportunities for minorities are provided, as well as other federal agencies and commissions such as the Environmental Protection Agency, Federal Communications Commission, Federal Research Board, NASA, and the Smithsonian.
