NBA Internship Program offers college students an exciting opportunity to use their skills and classroom learning within a national sports environment. Imagine having a real job experience and being able to learn all about the NBA at the same time. Students must be juniors or seniors already attending a U.S. accredited college or university, first and second-year graduate students, and law students. Internship positions are located either in New York City (Manhattan) or Secaucus, New Jersey. Each office will have different positions available, and students will be matched to a position based on their skills and experience.

Coalition for Smarter Growth Internships

Coalition for Smarter Growth Internships provides a rich work experience for college students interested in public policy and advocacy. The internship is unpaid but provides a transportation stipend. Interested students must be able to devote 18 hours each week to their internship. Internships last an entire semester and give students hands-on experience in working with public officials, organizing campaigns, talking to people in the community and at public meetings. They may also participate in communicating through blogs and the website.

The internships are for credit or experience only. Students must be able to work 10 hours a week at their internship. They must have strong written and verbal communications skills, the dedication to complete projects on time, and excellent computer skills, such as Photoshop, FinalCut, iMovie, PowerPoint, Keynote, and Excel.

Positions are open in publishing and editorial and offer a stipend; interns are responsible for finding their own housing. Interns working for one department will also be able to work with other areas of the company to gain more skills and experience.

AT&T Human Resources Leadership Internship

This paid internship position gives students real training and experience in the area of human resources. Students must be in their first year of MBA graduate school in order to apply. NCAA Ethnic Minority and Women's Internship

NCAA Ethnic Minority and Women's Internship offers an opportunity for a minority, female college student to be chosen for a unique two-year internship program. The program will focus primarily on compliance, athletic communications and special events for The Rensselaer Athletics Department and its intercollegiate varsity programs. This internship is for a student who has experience in communications and media relations in a sports environment. The intern will be part of a senior leadership team with responsibility for media relations, website maintenance, pre- and post-game interviews, and more to support the Athletic Communication team.

Giant Life Internships

Applicants must have completed their first year of college and have a grade point average of 3.0 or above in order to apply. Students can be studying a variety of disciplines, including international affairs, area studies, economics, geography, physical sciences, or engineering. Interns work either two 90-day periods, or one semester and one summer.
