NPR Internships

NPR Fall Internships and Jobs
National Public Radio (NPR) offers internships in the winter/spring, summer and fall for college undergraduate and graduate students.

Summer interns work full time (40 hours per week), but the program also allows part-time work of 20 hours per week during the winter/spring, and the fall semesters. Interns receive pay and may also receive college credit for the internship.

Internships cover a wide area of study disciplines that include corporate jobs such as marketing, communications, finance, legal, HR, distribution and others. News opportunities include national news, arts, science, social media and NPR music. There are digital opportunities in news, arts, entertainment, editorial and multimedia. Other internships are available in assisting with programs such as All Things Considered, Morning Edition, Tell Me More, Weekend Edition Saturday and Sunday, and Wait Don't Tell Me!

Students may apply for up to three internships each semester. They should include with their application a cover letter, writing samples or portfolio of work they have done that is in alignment with the internship position for which they are applying.

NPR is a network of 975 stations that broadcast news, information and music to over 26 million people every week.
